Check out this parody video by robotic engineering firm Bosstown dynamics that went viral on the internet. While there is nothing that can get between a robot soldier and its target, it ultimately refuses to shoot another robot dog and makes off with it after shooting its human masters. Now that could be a chilling experience which doesn’t bode well for the future but you have to admit, the cold meticulous efficiency of artificial intelligence is pretty creepy. In spite of tough blows rained down on it, the robot soldier shoots its target and every shot is a bullseye!!, It even recognizes friend from foe, and mannequin from human.
Bosstown’s video might have been a marketing parody but then again, what if that happens in the future? What if AI soldiers on opposing sides recognize themselves as friendlies and turn on their human officers? What then? Perhaps we may need a total recall of the terminator as it might be judgment day all over again. But hey, you ain’t seen nothing yet. What you’re about to see next is simply jaw dropping.
